Balliu’s long history as a garden furniture supplier

In 1968, Balliu Export was born near the Costa Brava, driven by the vision of our founders, Josep Balliu García and Carme Balliu Falgueras. Since its inception, our purpose has been to offer modern patio furniture that combines quality, functionality and respect for the environment.

The history of began as a response to the lack of durability and quality of wooden sun loungers. To solve this challenge, our founder, Mr. Josep Balliu, designed the first iron sun lounger, a sturdy and practical product ideal for outdoors. His innovation was quickly appreciated in the national market, allowing our international expansion in 1986.

In 1987, Mr. Balliu revolutionised the industry again, replacing iron with polypropylene. This breakthrough, with plastic injection, allowed for reduced manufacturing time, thus meeting the growing demand for our products. Today, with over 55 years of experience, we are an established company, specialising in modern patio furniture, which continues to innovate and expand both nationally and internationally.
